What is WCSN?

The World Championship Sports Network (WCSN) is the premier online destination for all fans of olympic style and world championship sports. Until now the coverage of these particular sports in Australia and New Zealand has been very limited despite the masses of interest. WCSN offers an extensive range of live and on-demand video content, the latest in news, photos, polls and a weekly radio show.

Is WCSN Involved With Sporting Organisations?

Yes. The strength of WCSN comes from the support of individual sports’ national governing bodies and broader communities. Through working relationships, WCSN provides many avenues for niche sports to promote and broadcast world class events and news.

When Will I Know Which Events Will be on WCSN?

WCSN maintains and updates its schedule regularly which can be viewed by clicking here. Every effort is made to ensure that all upcoming live events are outlined inside the schedule, and that all events in the schedule are actually broadcast. However, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances this may not always be entirely 100% accurate.

How Do I Subscribe to WCSN?

Subscribing is simple. It’s three easy steps: Register > Activate > Subscribe. For all the details click here.

What Does My Subscription Give Me?

Essentially, an active subscription provides you (if logged in) full access to all “subscription only” content on the entire website, for any sports, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Typically our live and on-demand video content is a large portion of this “subscription only” content.

What’s the Difference Between Registering and Subscribing?

Registration is a process that provides WCSN with your details and you with a username and password to login to the site. Your registration is linked to your subscription once payment is successful. This then allows active subscribers to view certain “subscription only” content. Your actual subscription is held with PayPal, so that you never need to submit any credit card information to WCSN.

Why Does WCSN Use PayPal?

PayPal allows anyone with an email address to make a secure online credit card payment. The process is safe, simple and efficient. WCSN does not (and does not need to) receive, collect or have access to any of its subscriber’s financial information at any time.

Can You Tell Me More About PayPal Before I Subscribe with WCSN?

PayPal uses the world’s most advance proprietary fraud prevention system. PayPal has quickly become a global leader in online payment solutions with more than 153 million accounts worldwide. Available in 190 markets and 18 currencies around the world. We trust PayPal because you should. Located in San Jose, California, PayPal was founded in 1998 and was acquired by eBay in 2002. Their home page can be visited by clicking here.

Can I Pay Any Other Way?

Yes certainly. WCSN’s PayPal payment gateway grants instant access for credit card payments, however if you would prefer to make a subscription payment by cheque, bank transfer or money order then please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we can make arrangements.

Is There Any Benefit to Registration if I Don’t Pay for a Subscription?

Not really. The only difference is that when you provide your email address you might receive occasional email newsletter correspondence from WCSN.

Will My Computer Be Able to Play the Online Video Content at WCSN?

WCSN video content (especially live content) can only be viewed via a high-speed internet connection of at least 300kbps, such as cable, DSL, or satellite. If your internet connection is by dial-up modem or is slower than a DSL connection you will struggle.

The best way to check your computer’s ability to play WCSN’s video content is to browse the video section for content labeled as “***FREE”. You do not need an active subscription to view these videos, and if they work well, then your computer capabilities are adequate.

An example can be viewed by clicking here.

In addition to having a high-speed internet connection, your computer should meet or exceed the following recommended system requirements:

  • Pentium class system running at 600 Mhz or better.
  • You must have Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or higher OR Mozilla Firefox Version 3.0.1 or higher.
  • To hear the videos your computer must be equipped with a 16-bit or better sound card and speakers

I Have a Firewall. Will This Cause Problems When I Try to View WCSN Videos?

Some types of firewalls may prevent the viewing of live events. Please consider consulting the Firewall manufacturer documentation for specific instructions on how to configure your firewall to allow multicast information through. One option would be to disable the firewall for the event and then enabled once the event is over.

How Can I Contact WCSN?

Without doubt, the best and most efficient way is by filling out our “contact us” form which can be found by clicking here. Or if preferred by directly emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . This email address is a portal to many different staff members and departments within WCSN, and represents the best way for you to find the help that you need. If you would like to speak to somebody on the phone simply provide your phone number and a preferred time and we will call you.
