Gymnastics Australia has announced via their website the Men's team heading to the 2010 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands from 16th - 24th October.

Gymnastics Australia has announced the members of the squad that have been selected to represent Australia at the 30th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in September.

The event will be held at the world renowned Olympiysky Sports Complex in Moscow, Russia (pictured).

Dual world championships silver medallist Lauren Mitchell will not defend her national title next week, an adductor strain forcing her out of the upcoming Australian Championships and Commonwealth Games selection trials in Perth.

Mitchell was the toast of Australian gymnastics last year when she became the first Australian woman to medal in an individual apparatus final at a world championship, winning silver on the beam and again on floor at London’s O2 Arena.

The U.S. Olympic Committee and USA Gymnastics announced that the 2000 U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics Team will be awarded their Olympic team bronze medals at a special ceremony on Aug. 11 in Hartford, Conneticut, in conjunction with the 2010 Visa Championships.

The medal ceremony will take place on Aug. 11 at the XL Center, just prior to the start of the first day of the senior men's gymnastics competition. Anita DeFrantz, one of the USA's International Olympic Committee members, will represent the IOC at the ceremony.
