Firebirds Crowned Netball Cup Champs

With only eleven days until the 2010 ANZ Championships are scheduled to commence, the Queensland Firebirds have been crowned winners of the Netball Cup.

An impressive Firebirds outfit, lead by a dynamic Lauren Nourse (pictured), managed to tackle the entire tournament undefeated, scoring 39 more goals than their opponents during their matches.

Diamonds Clinch Amazing Series Win

The Australia Netball Diamonds have put on a gutsy, come-from-behind performance in London tonight, defeating England 45-43.

Despite trailing by nine goals in the third quarter, the Diamonds led by player of the match Kate Beveridge showed composure to run the game out two goal winners and claim the series 2-1.

It was disappointing result for England who controlled the majority of the match - the Diamonds scored the first goal of the game but then had to wait until the 55th minute to hit the lead again.

Diamonds Bounce Back in UK

The Australian Netball Diamonds have responded in the best way they know how on their UK tour, with a 53-48 victory against England in the second Test in Nottingham.

After a disappointing result in Liverpool which saw the Diamonds defeated by England for the first time in 29 years, the Diamonds put on a cohesive team performance to level the series at 1-1 and set up a sudden death finale in London.

Madison Browne in just her fourth Test cap for Australia was named player of the match for her outstanding performance in wing attack.

England Beat Aussies For 1st Time Since 1981

In a thrilling match at the Echo Stadium in Liverpool, the Australian Netball Diamonds have been defeated by England 41-40. It is the first time England has defeated Australia in a Test match since 1981.

Despite a hard fought comeback from the Diamonds, with the home crowd behind them, England was able to hold on in the final seconds for the historic win.

Diamonds Far Too Strong for Scotland... Twice

The Australian Diamonds have kicked-off their 2010 international season with a classy 56-goal win over Scotland.

The new-look Diamonds side were out to impress in Glasgow with the Australians recording a polished performance from start to finish .

Youngster Madison Browne made her international debut in the first quarter, recording her first Test cap in the wing attack position.
