| NSW Wins Third Straight Kings Cup |
| The weather appeared to be appreciative of the occasion. Calm and cool conditions seemed like an impossible dream overnight as Victoria was lashed with ferocious storms. Nevertheless, at Nagambie on Sunday, the best of Australia’s rowers welcomed the mild and overcast environment with strong open arms.
The 2010 Australian Rowing Championships regatta concluded with the traditional racing for the Kings Cup. This prestigious trophy is awarded to the State that proves victorious in the Men’s Eights, the highlight of the annual regatta and the final race on the schedule. |

| Kings Cup to Cap Off Nagambie |

The Governor General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, will be on hand to witness what is shaping up to be a tremendous Kings Cup showdown to mark the end of the 2010 Australian Rowing Championships and Interstate Regatta at Lake Nagambie, Victoria.
Back to back champions, New South Wales (Lane 2) has been drawn next to arch rival and home state Victoria (Lane 3) which will only make the battle for the 91 year old prize more intriguing. |

| Queenslanders Lead Way Into Finals |

For the second year running the Queensland pair of Pippa Savage and Sally Kehoe stormed into the finals of the open women’s single scull as Day 3 of the Australian Rowing Championships began at Lake Nagambie, Victoria.
In perfect rowing conditions, the duo looked comfortable in semi final number 1. Winner of the National Titles in 2007 and 2008, Savage took the win in a time of 7:48.81 ahead of 2009 Champion Kehoe with both rowers easing their way to the line in the last 100 metres. |

| Getting Set for the National Championships |

Final preparations are underway for the start of the 2010 Australian Rowing Championships and Interstate Regatta which will commence this Monday (1 March) at Lake Nagambie, Victoria (pictured).
Over 1600 competitors from across Australia will compete at the regatta, the first time the event has been held at Nagambie since 2007. |

| Victoria and Tasmania Turn It On Ahead of Nationals |

Rowers from Victoria and Tasmania set their sights on the upcoming National Titles in two weeks time, after some scintillating action took place at their respective state titles.
The depth of quality shown at each regatta was outstanding with a mixture of Olympic and World-Championship athletes and stars of tomorrow taking out the honours.
As expected, the Victorian regatta saw Olympic gold medallist David Crawshay win the men’s open single scull before teaming with runner-up in the event Karsten Fosterling to win the double scull, a remarkable 12 seconds ahead of second place. |
